Amira's Hafla, June 18th, 2005

At the end of each session we gather as a community to celebrate dance with good food and good friends. The evening began with an old favorite, the "Skirt Dance," being performed by members of many troupes. Left to right are Jasmin, Sheba (in the blue) and Dasara.

More spinning of course, because that is what skirts are for! Everyone is having a wonderful time with this lively Gypsy number.

Sheba and Dasara spinning happily as friends and members of the studio watch from prime seats.

Next, Tahia performed a veil dance to beautiful music. The audience was entranced.

Na'adira Sahra performed a fusion number next. And members of the audience happily danced with her. The atmosphere at the hafla was set and everyone was ready for evening of fun and dance.
