Belly Dance

  • Friends and Family - websites that are part of our dance family
    • Ibrahim Farrah - Amira's first teacher. This site is dedicated to his memory and life.
    • Raks Araby - This is the site of our own Raks Araby Troupe, here with Amira Dance Productions.
    • Johari and the Pussycats - Johari, along with other Amira members and other dancers from the Wichita area have formed an amazing performing troupe doing Disco-Belly Dance fusion. Check them out.
    • Midwest Bellydance Happenings - This page is hosted by Suzanne, a former member of Amira Dance Productions. She has gone on to teach on her own! We congratulate her on a wonderful accomplishment.
    • Safira's Center for World Dance - Safira Zeki, who was with Amira Dance Productions for many years, has now formed her own studio! We also extend our congratulations and well wishes to her on her new endeavor.
  • Belly Dancing in the Mid West
    • Aalim Dance Acadamy - Soraya Al Musri, of Edmond, OK has founded numerous studios in her travels, including one here in Wichita. She hosts the annual 'Starfest' and brings a variety of workshops to the Mid West.
    • Gaziyeh Enterprises - Zada Al Gaziyeh in Lawrence, KS has information on her classes, the band and troupe's upcoming performances and shopping!
    • Judy's Creative Costuming - Judy in Sedalia, MO regularly comes to Wichita, KS to supply our local dancers with costumes, music and more. She also hosts fabulous workshops, and does lots of custom work.

American Tribal Style Dance

  • Fat Chance Bellydance - This troupe really brought tribal alive and brought it to the dance community.
  • Black Sheep Bellydance - Home to Kajira Djoumahna. Innovating the use of multiple leaders and both hips into the ATS format, this group has made its mark on American Tribal Style history.
  • Devyani Dance Company - Following the Fat Chance format this company has become nationally known.
  • Urban Gypsy - an exciting development of the tribal format.
  • Gypsy Caravan - Contributing many wonderful new steps and innovations to the tribal format, Gypsy Caravan continues to be an amazing resource.
  • Ultra Gypsy - There is plenty of Ultra about this group. Jill Parker's innovations have brought the future of tribal to here and now.
  • Gypsy Fire Belly Dance - A professional Middle Eastern Dance Troupe and Studio in Tulsa, OK with a tribal fusion style. Check them out.
