Indulge in an American passion - hoop dance! Learn hula hooping tricks and dance moves together for a fun workout! A hula hoop can be your dance partner and your dance prop. Hula hoops provided. Join us for some hula hooping!  Class offered with a minimum enrollment of three students. Note: This class is not part of the introductory packages. Cost is $30/month.


Basics Classes

bEGINNER eAST iNDIAN AND bOLLYWOOD dANCE  With cHRISTINA

Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 

This class offers an introduction into the basic hand/foot movements of East Indian dancing that will transform into dance moves infused with energetic music. These foundational moves unlock the door to other East Indians dance genres such as Bollywood, Classical East Indian and Bhangra. Christina has studied East Indian dance styles since 2013.

Improvisational Transnational STyle With Di Flower

​Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 
ITS bellydance is an empowering art form, influenced by North African, Middle Eastern, Spanish, East Indian and contemporary dances. Instructor Di Flower is fluent in Gypsy Caravan style, with multiple years of experience with a semi-professional troupe. She is a certified Datura Style™ instructor in Rachel Brice's Eight Elements program. She's also taken workshops with Jill Parker, Zoe Jakes and Paulette Reese.

FatCHanceBellydance®  (formerly American Tribal STyle (ATS® ) levels 1 & 2 With Alexandra

Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Learn to dance by drilling the basics of FatChanceBellyDance® style or FCBD®, formerly known as American Tribal Style® or ATS®, in fun combinations and using slow movements and fast steps. All basic movements and group formations, as well as the fundamental vocabulary needed to build up to more experienced levels, will be taught in this class. Instructor Alexandra is a certified ATS® teacher, Sister Studio, through FatChanceBellyDance®.

 


CabARET Bellydance Basics  with Elisa

Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. New enrollments accepted anytime.

This class focuses on technique and Middle Eastern style moves while working out to great world music. This is a moderate exercise class -- suitable for women of all ages and sizes -- that will help you with posture, work your core and more with a full body workout. No dance experience is necessary. We will focus on learning to enjoy movement and dance and gaining self-confidence in the body you have today. And don't forget the exposure to the glitz and glamour of this beautiful dance form. As an added bonus, ADP's drummers meet with this class once a month. Drop-ins welcome in both classes year-round, with $12 drop-in fee applicable. Elisa, a longtime member of ADP, has studied dance at Wichita State as well as several instructors of various types of bellydancing, Polynesian and other cultural dances.
