Datura Style is an umbrella term that encompasses the Datura technique and vocabulary for group improvisation. Datura Style™ emerged from innovative dancer Rachel Brice’s years spent integrating, fusing, and distilling several influences in pursuit of a unique personal expression and stylization. It draws inspiration from early and continuing West Coast dancers in the American bellydance and tribal/transnational community. Cost: $30 monthly

SPECIALTY CLASS: Nubian Folkloric

Nubian dance is a colorful, upbeat folkloric style of dance originating in the Nubian region of Upper Egypt. Many movements The basic step is done in an upright position, with one foot coming down flat on the beat and the other foot is on the and. Rarely are hips involved, and the arms generally move symmetrically on the sides or front and back. Cost: $30 monthly

Second and Fourth Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Learn and practice Middle Eastern rhythms with either a drum (doumbek/darbuka) or finger cymbals (zills/sagat). If you don't have a drum or cymbals, don't worry -- we have spares to share. $5 drop-in fee applies.

Korean Pop (aka K-Pop) is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea in the 1990s. Known for its successful male and female groups, catchy beats, and signature moves, K-Pop music is hitting international charts now. K-Pop choreographed dances are specifically designed to match the characteristics of the artist’s songs and often creates a performing trend among fans.” Jade, the instructor, has studied and performed various forms of Middle Eastern, East Indian, Latin and Polynesian dances, along with hip hop and K-Pop. No dance experience necessary; open to ages 14 & up; minors 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Cost: $30/month; $15 discounted rate for students taking at least 2 hours of other ADP classes weekly.


Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. With Holly In-studio 

Get your body moving and your heart pumping to Latin beats with this fun class. 
Cost: $30/month; $45/month Fitness Combo package if taking Pilates Plus. Discounts available if taking an ADP dance class. $10 drop-in. Tuesday stretch class included free in monthly class packages.

Sundays, 5-6 p.m. On hiatus until close contact activities allowed following pandemic precautions.
Learn a wide range of partner dancing from West Coast swing to salsa to traditional ballroom! A new dance style is introduced each month. Come a few minutes early to stretch and get comfortable. Wear smooth-soled shoes. $30 per person for one month of class. $10 drop-in fee for one class.

Hula Hoop BAsics

Sundays, 4 p.m.  

Indulge in an American passion - hoop dance! Learn hula hooping tricks and dance moves together for a fun workout! A hula hoop can be your dance partner and your dance prop. Hula hoops provided. Join us for some hula hooping! NOTE: Any new members must call 316.210.1625 to indicate they will attend. 

Cost: $10 drop-in, $30 monthly fee. 

For dancers who've completed basics and with instructor permission, ADP has the following troupe classes:

  • Gameel Danse with Malak, 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays: an Egyptian-style bellydance troupe
  • Rakaset Habibi with Jade, 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays: a beginner and advanced beginner bellydance troupe
